Faceplate is machined to fit a full-size slot-load DVD drive. This drive takes up more space inside the case than a slim-line drive below. Eject button is located in the lower right.

Slim-line slot-load

Slim-line slot-load
Faceplate is machined to fit a slim-line slot-load DVD drive. This type of drive takes up less space inside the case and allows for better airflow through top cover. Eject button is located in the lower left. Includes drive adapter, mounting brackets, and hardware.

Tray-load faceplate

Faceplate is machined to match the opening required for a tray-load DVD drive. Included is a matching aluminum DVD tray cover plate to attach to the front of your drive tray. The tray cover plate is finished to match the rest of case for a seamless appearance. Maximum tray door size is .875" x 5.438".

Aluminum case and all aluminum brackets are treated by a anodizing process for corrosion protection and long lasting uniform finish. The rear chassis and internal  parts have a black finish, the faceplate can be either black or silver.

Laser Etched Logo Graphics

 
Faceplate is laser etched with custom graphics and lettering during the anodizing process. Graphics can include company logo, symbols, port labels, button labels, system specs, etc. Artwork provided should be in a vector format for best results.  We can create simple artwork for you or send us your custom designs. Approximate pricing for up to ten cases with same artwork:
  • Clear lettering on black case ($175)
  • Colored lettering on silver or black case ($200)

Add-on Options
Rack Mounting  
Case can be provided with a one-piece 19" faceplate for rack mounting. This plate is 6.25" high by 19" wide. An optional 2.50" filler panel must be used for a full 5U (8.75") combined height installation. This faceplate can be used without a filler panel in a open rack. The screw holes are located to place case at the bottom of a 4U (7.00") space. A minimum of 2.5" space above the case is required for cooling airflow, additional space is suggested for hotter running systems.

Filler Panel  
Use this 2.50" high by 19" wide filler panel to increase the combined height of rack mounted case to 5U (8.75"). Filler panel is made from 1/8" thick 6061-T6 aluminum. Panel is surface finished and anodized to match the faceplate.

Secondary Hard Drive Mount  
This option is only available when a slim-line DVD drive is selected. Adds a second hard drive mounted below the DVD drive. Uses EAR isolation dampers to reduce vibration noise. Includes mounting brackets and hardware.

Machined Billet Aluminum Case Feet
Enhance the appearance of your case with these machined billet aluminum case feet. The standard rubber feet fit inside these aluminum feet and can be upgraded later.

Touch Screen Mounting

Important Notes:

  • A slot-load slim-line DVD drive must be used with touch screen option. Because the drive is repositioned to the right, a full-size DVD drive will interfere with power supply.

Faceplate is machined with a cutout to fit a Xenarc 700TS LCD Touch Screen. The display can be used for operator input, previewing movies, or as a windows desktop. Push button controls turn display on/off and for control brightness, contrast and display position settings. Touch screen display not included.

Xenarc Touch Screen Display

Xenarc Touch Screen Display

A-Tech Fabrication is now authorized by Xenarc to install their touch screen displays into our cases. The display will still have the full warranty from Xenarc. It will also include a special power cable to allow you to connect it to the power supply inside the case. The case will be shipped with the display installed into the faceplate. You must also purchase the touch screen mounting option above.

Faceplate is machined with a cutout to fit a Matrix Orbital 4x20 display. Can be used with or without tinted filters. Includes mounting hardware and spacers. Display not included.

IR Receiver Mounting

Faceplate is machined with a cutout to fit a Infrared receiver for remotely operating the system. The internal mounting shelf will fit a IRman,  USB-UIRT, Asus DH Remote, or Microsoft infrared receiver. Includes tinted lens,  mounting shelf, hardware, and adhesive strip. IR receiver and software not included.

USB Port

USB Port
Face plate is machined with cutout to fit a USB 2.0 port adapter. Internal cable plugs into the USB header on your motherboard. Standard port location is in the lower right corner. We can also add more ports if needed, please contact us for more information.

NOTE: When combined with the PowerMate option, the location of the USB port will be in the space between the reset button and the DVD control buttons.

DVD Push Button Controls

Inside of case shows PowerMate, UIRT,  DVD buttons, and VFD display.

Face plate is machined with cutouts to fit five custom machined push buttons. These buttons can be programmed to control software such as a DVD player. Button assembly comes pre-wired with header connector. This connector plugs into to the keypad connector on the Matrix Orbital displays such as the VK204-25 or similar displays with a keypad input connector. Includes five (5) machined aluminum buttons, five (5) momentary switches, wire harness, mounting rail and hardware.

PowerMate Control Knob Mounting

Face plate is machined with a special cutout and mount to fit a  Griffin Technology PowerMate controller and input device (not included). This knob can be programmed for a number of tasks such as volume control and scrolling through menus. PowerMate knob not included. The PowerMate from Griffin is available in black or silver to match the case.

Note: Griffin is not currently selling the knob in black. See the case accessories section below for our re-finishing service for black PowerMate knobs.

These cases are custom made to your order. You may add additional options after work on your case has begun, however some changes may affect shipping time. If there is a custom option you would like to have that is not listed above, please contact us for a special quote. Options can also be added to your case at a later date, you only pay for the option plus refinishing fee.

Years ago, the Griffin Technology PowerMate was only available in silver. At that time we offered re-finishing of the knobs in black. Then Griffin started selling them in black. As of 2008, they are only available in silver and we our offering our re-finishing service again.

Temperature Switch Kit  
Use this kit with case fan for ultra-silent operation. Allows case fan to remain off when system is in low demand. After system has been under load, switch turns the fan on after case temperature reaches 40 deg C. Includes bracket for mounting switch to heatpipe clamping plates on case. 92mm Fan Block-off Plate  
Use this plate to seal up the 92mm fan opening. This plate can be used on cooler running systems that don't require a case fan or with systems that use a fan cooled power supply. A case fan should still be used if the power supply does not have a side air inlet.
