The HeatSync NAS-8x 2.5 Series case allows you to pack lots of storage capacity into a small, low-profile package. By utilizing the newest 500GB 2.5" drives, you can build a 4 Terabyte server that only consumes 48 watts of power for the entire system!

Completely fanless, the massive heatsinks dissipate system heat for a truly silent server.

Internally, the computer components are well laid out for equal heat distribution and easy servicing. The HeatSync 2500 Mini-Client will fit a number motherboards and RAID cards allowing you to build a system for your specific needs.

The simple back panel allows for quick and easy connection to your external components. PCI or PCIe slot can hold either full height or half height RAID cards. There are many different 8-port PCIe RAID cards that can be used in the HeatSync NAS-8x 2.5 Series case. One suggestion is the Promise SuperTrak EX8350

Highly efficient HeatSync^®CPU cooling system transfers heat directly into chassis. No fans are required to cool the processor. The VIA SN1800G motherboard pictured above only draws 28 watts under load, combined with the PCIe RAID card consuming 6 watts, and nine 2.5" HDD's each drawing 1.6 watts, gives a total load of only 48 watts for the entire system!

For quiet and cool operation of the hard drive, we designed a smaller version of the same isolation system used in our other Mass Storage cases. The drive module floats on specially designed isolation pads eliminating noise from vibration. The drives attach to the thick, precision-machined aluminum, vertical side plates. The side plates attach to the thick aluminum upper and lower plates which dissipate heat into the heatsink chassis. Holds up to nine 2.5" drives.

This allows you to pack more storage capacity into a smaller space and create much less heat and noise.
